My poster presentation “Self-Concept and Moratorium Delay in Gifted Students” was presented yesterday at the National Association for Gifted Children’s Annual Conference, held in Denver, Colorado. It was presented during the graduate student research gala. The presentation featured results of a study for which I am currently developing a paper with some fellow UNT graduate students, Laura Garrison and Laila Sanguras.
I received some good feedback from some of the attendees and reviewers that should strengthen the paper we are developing. However, one attendee criticized the visuals for lacking diversity. Ookkaayy…one person was a Hispanic female, the other was a Caucasian male. Add to that, the very first research limitation acknowledged on the poster was a lack of diversity in the sample population. I guess you can’t please everyone.
